Swedish Microwave has been manufacturing LNBs at its factory in Motala since 1986 making them Europe's oldest manufacturer of LNBs.

Long term reliability is essential in commercial grade equipment and SMW is well aware of this which is why every LNB is subjected to a lengthy test program before it’s allowed to reach the installer. This involves heating and cooling, rigorous electrical investigations as well as waterproof testing.

Always striving to new levels of excellence, SMW has recently launched a new competitively priced PLL LNB to complement its already extensive range of high perfromance LNBs.

The new Phase Locked Loop, or PLL, LNB boasts a local oscillator stability of ±25kHz within -30ºC to +60ºC, minimising LO frequency drift and making the unit ideal for applications such as commercial satellite headends, digital radio, VSAT systems and reception of high speed data transmissions.

Available with F or N connectors, the units are supplied with a choice of four local oscillator frequencies 9.75, 10.0, 10.75 and 11.3 GHz as standard. To ensure the lowest BER (Bit Error Rate) the phase noise is optimised @ 10kHz to as low as -85dBc.

The introduction of this ±25kHz PLL LNB is another addition to SMW's product line of commercial grade DRO LNBs and its existing PLL LNB with LO stability of ±150 kHz.

For those applications that require a non standard specification, SMW also offers a wide range of commercial features on their LNBs including a low gain and an RF shielding option.
