Global Communications is dedicated to designing effective SMATV distribution equipment for commercial and domestic environments. Here, we take a closer look at the Professional “Loftbox”, the integrated home distribution system designed to deliver Satellite, TV, FM, DAB and CCTV signals to more than one location within the home. The
Global “Loftbox” is a simple solution for consumers requiring
Sky television, Terrestrial TV and Radio signals throughout the home.
It is normally positioned in the loft but can be placed in any convenient
location around the house. These signals are combined by the loftbox into one simple down lead which then feeds to a suitable outlet. The main output is clearly labelled as the living room. In order to distribute the signal around the building, a cable can be run back to the loft box. The input is marked as digibox UHF2 which you can then connect to 4 or 8 other points depending on which loftbox you have. This allows reception of normal terrestrial TV, DTT, FM, DAB, CCTV as well as the signal from the Sky Digibox at all outlets. The system can also be easily expanded to more than 8 points by feeding one of the outputs from the loftbox into a global distribution amplifier. The loftbox is fully compatible with other Sky digital accessories such as the TV link eyes. Each of the outputs have a typical gain of 8dB to overcome the majority of long cable runs and to ensure a high quality signal distribution throughout the building. The loftbox has an LED power indicator and a built in switch mode power supply, for a continuous reliable performance over many years. The unit is an ideal solution for today’s modern housing estates where multiple points are common place. Cables can be distributed with only the need for the required antennas to be installed at the customer’s request. |
