Digital IRS made simple
When BSkyB announced in November 2003 that Vision(tm) V5 range met the criteria laid down for multiswitch equipment in IRS installations in all Sky Homes registered installations, a wealth of opportunity opened up for professional installers. Considerable savings in material and labour costs can be realised, as V5 makes system planning less complex and has more a economical use of the system components than older line powered technology. This training seminar shows how installers can make the most out of the major features that come with Vision(tm) V5.
If you've ever wanted to know what simple colour coding, low power with high gain, flexible powering, a choice of amplifiers, a faultfinding assistant, distribution options and avoiding lengthy cascades can mean to your profits, now is the ideal time to find out before your competitors do.
The seminar will be presented by Vision(tm) Product Manager Richard Stallworthy. It's a great opportunity to find out about V5 with a leading expert on IRS equipment. And like all seminars at the Riggers Training Show, it's completely free!

Show us your Independence
Since early December last year, professionals in our industry have had a choice of Trade Associations. A real and effective way to declare their independence from the rest of the pack.
The Independent Digital Standards Commission launched with three simple aims. Foremost was to protect the public from "fly-by-night" installers who brought poor quality work and high charges. At the same time, the standard of work offered by true industry professionals would be raised through training and accreditation. And members' own businesses or products would be promoted by the idsc to maximise profit opportunities.
A Board of three Directors are using over thirty years experience to achieve these aims for the industry's "newest and most impartial Trade Association", say the idsc. Representatives from the Board will be presenting the case for membership, giving you the chance to find out for yourself exactly what membership means.

Since its launch in January 2003, dTV Commercial has built a first-class reputation amongst professionals within the industry. With staff who bring years of experience across the whole range of MATV, SMATV and Digital-IRS, dTV Commercial have a remit to help specify, design and build distribution systems that work. A no-fuss, make-it-work approach is based on the practical application of proven technology.
This training seminar is packed with practical tips on how to get the best from installing a communal distribution system. Three case studies will be used to show how dTV have help to plan, simplify and achieve tangible results for clients in the past year. These case studies demonstrate what's involved in getting line powered and fibre-optics systems to work with the least amount of hassle and the greatest amount of profit. If you are a commercial installer involved with new builds, refurbishments, multi-dwelling-units, hospitals, hotels or blocks of flats, you must come to this seminar. Presenting will be Mike Sherley, a well known industry expert. On hand, both during and after the seminar, will be other members of dTV Commercial, including co-ordinator Kerry Laughton and systems planner Andrew Bull.

Single Channel Superfiltering
With the growth in TV channel numbers in the early 1970's, channelised amplifiers for MATV head-ends first appeared. With a recent expansion in TV channel availability, professional installers looked to the concept of Single Channel Filters. The new buzzword in SCF technology is "superfiltering". Find out how it's going to revolutionise every install you make sooner than you might think!
